The argument in favor of using filler text goes something like this: If you use any real content in the Consulting Process anytime you reach.

Most specialist businesses have the same problem: the work is genuinely niche, but the website tries to cover everything on a handful of pages. A bookkeeper who specialises in freelancers, a celebrant who writes humanist weddings, a joiner who only fits heritage windows — each of these deserves its own page, written for the people searching for exactly that.
When you try to cram five services onto one page, search engines struggle to work out what that page is actually about. More importantly, so do visitors. Someone landing on a general "Services" page has to hunt for the thing they came for, and most of them won't bother. They'll go back to the search results and click someone else.
The fix is straightforward, if not always quick: map your keywords to service pages, one cluster at a time.
Before you open any keyword tool, write down the phrases people say to you on the phone. Not the industry terms — the customer terms. A customer does not ask for "equine musculoskeletal therapy"; they ask whether you can help a lame pony in Cheshire.
Build a raw list from:
At this stage, don't filter. Fifty messy phrases are more useful than five tidy ones. You are looking for patterns, not perfection.
This is the step most people skip. Instead of chasing the highest-volume phrase, sort your list into groups that share a job to do. Four intents cover most specialist services:
Notice that each group implies a different kind of page and a different stage of the journey. A problem-led searcher needs reassurance and explanation. A comparison-led searcher wants figures and trade-offs. Treating them as the same keyword is why so many service pages feel vague.
Once your groups are clear, give each one a home. The rule is simple: one cluster, one page. If two clusters could sit comfortably on the same page, merge them. If a cluster is big enough to fill its own page properly, split it out.
A useful test before you commit:
If two pages end up targeting near-identical phrases, you're competing with yourself. Search engines will pick one and ignore the other, and you'll have wasted the effort of writing both.
For a small site, three to eight service pages is usually the sweet spot. Depth beats breadth, especially when your niche is narrow.
Now the writing. The structure below works whether you're selling upholstery repairs or independent financial advice.
The headline should say what you do and who it's for, in plain words. "Sash Window Restoration for Period Homes in Shropshire" beats "Welcome to Our Services". Place your main phrase naturally in it — no need to force it.
The opening paragraph should confirm the visitor is in the right place and show you understand their situation. One or two sentences. If they've arrived worried about a leaking roof or a difficult probate, acknowledge that.
The body copy should answer the real questions: what's involved, how long it takes, what affects the price, what you need from them. Use your subheadings to cover each intent in the cluster. This is also where you naturally include the supporting phrases — for example, mentioning that you handle both repair and full replacement, so both variations appear on the page without any awkward keyword stuffing.
The call to action should be specific and low-friction. "Request a free quote" or "Book a 15-minute call" outperforms a lonely "Contact us" every time. Put it after the first section, then again at the end. A phone number in the header for local trades is never wasted.
Keyword mapping isn't a one-off job. Every few months, check your search console data and see which pages are attracting which phrases. If a page is ranking for something that belongs to another cluster, that's a signal — either add a section to the right page or write a new one.
Keep a simple spreadsheet: cluster, target page, main phrase, supporting phrases. It takes twenty minutes to set up and saves hours of confusion later. When a new service comes along, you'll know exactly where it fits and what to write about.
The goal isn't to rank for everything. It's to make sure that when someone searches for precisely what you do, they land on a page that speaks to them — and gives them an obvious next step.
